Christian Volunteer Corps
opportunities to do the Lord's work abroad
What is it?
The Christian Volunteer Corps (CVC) is a division of the WELS Kingdom Workers' mission support program working in cooperation with the WELS Board for World Missions. Through this unique program, volunteers are made available to serve abroad.
The CVC is Christian men and women of all ages using their talents and skills to meet the needs of our WELS and ELS world mission fields. This offers lay workers opportunity to share God's message with unbelievers and fellow Christians.
What will I do?
As a lay worker in a world mission field, you will help our called workers with daily operation of the missions such as maintenance, office work, and house-sitting. You may also help teach English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, Bible classes, Sunday school, help with church services, and have many other opportunities to serve your Lord.
The length of time?
The length of service time to a world mission ranges from one to three years depending on the specific needs of the project.
How much will it cost?
Most often, housing and financial assistance are available when needed.
