Nomination forms

 

Where may I submit a nomination?

If there is a nomination request, all voting members of WELS are invited to submit names for consideration through the following forms:

  1. WELS Administrators, Boards, and Commissions Nomination form
  2. Ministerial School Nomination form

 

What is a nomination?

A request for nominations occurs for several reasons:

    • When the governing boards of the four ministerial education schools (Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, Mequon, Wis.; Martin Luther College, New Ulm, Minn.; Luther Preparatory School, Watertown, Wis.; and Michigan Lutheran Seminary, Saginaw, Mich.) need to call professors or certain administrators;
    • When WELS boards or the Conference of Presidents need to call new administrators or replace administrators at the synod administration building;
    • When the Synodical Council needs to replace board members of the WELS Church Extension Fund, Inc.; the WELS Foundation; the WELS Investment Funds, Inc.; the WELS Pension Commission; and the WELS VEBA Commission.
    • When the Synod Nominating Committee needs to prepare the election ballot for board positions for the synod convention.
