India

Eleven men graduated from seminary in July 2007, representing all six geographical areas of CELM bringing the total number of Indian pastors to 15. There are 17 men in the second year of seminary and 29 men in pre-seminary who will, the Lord willing, graduate in July 2008. One of the friendly counselors is now able to devote more time to publications. National church leaders are beginning to take the lead in making decisions with how grants will be divided among the areas. National workers and the CELM council have been increasingly willing and able to discipline erring brothers.

Nepal

Until recently this country was the only officially Hindu country in the world.  Our outreach with the gospel is accomplished through training of workers, a Scripture Learning Program and Humanitarian Aid. The Lord has blessed these programs so that 100 individuals are being trained to proclaim the gospel. To date 9,500 persons have been enrolled in the Scripture Learning Program.  Humanitarian Aid has made it possible to conduct free medical clinics that serve as a bridge to distribute Christian literature.

Pakistan

Recent political turmoil is affecting our Bible Correspondence Program. Nevertheless, since its inception in February, 2006 nearly 20,000 persons have been enrolled in the Bible Correspondence Program. The goal now is to reach an additional 10,000 students in the program.
