Missionary Wendland is a 1998 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. Upon graduation he served Redemption Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for five years. In September 2003 Missionary Wendland arrived in Malawi - the 3rd generation of Wendlands to live and serve in central Africa since 1962! Missionary Wendland and his family live in the southern Malawi city of Blantyre. Pastor Wendland serves 12 congregations around Blantyre and in the Lower Shire Valley (the southern tip of the country). He is also a member of the Board of Control for the Lutheran Bible Institute in Lilongwe (the first of two schools in our pastor training program).
