How long have you been a pastor?
We graduated in 2004 and this makes four years in this ministry.
What do you do?
As a pastor, I and my wife we jointly advise and encourage the weak members. We settle some cases between husband and wife. We also manage our family so we can train our children for a brighter future.
What is included as part of your daily tasks?
My daily task is to put more effort in raising goats and engaging in agriculture, that is, subsistence farming
What do you see as your greatest blessing in ministry?
The greatest blessing is that our church is putting their effort to work effectively for the growth of God’s kingdom on earth.
What are your greatest challenges in ministry?
The challenges are the hardships we face.
What do you like best about being a pastor?
As a pastor or as a servant of God, I like to share God’s Word with disabled individuals and with those I am keeping as my flock or church members. As a pastor’s wife, we jointly show a good example to others in attending church meetings and showing love to others.

I have been a pastor for 4 years.
What do you do?
I am a full time minister of God’s Word. So I teach, minister, and train people with God’s Word.
What is included as part of your daily tasks?
To search the Scripture. Write and review my sermons. Teaching Bible class
What do you see as your greatest blessing in ministry?
Greatest blessing to my church is WELS support to purchase land, build the church and pastor’s quarters.
What are your greatest challenges in ministry?
To contribute to the successful completion of the buildings and for God to preserve our members from militants in the Niger Delta crises.
What do you like best about being a pastor?
What I like best is to preach Law and Gospel.
Pastor Mathias Ogar Odey

What do you do?
I am a pulpit pastor, and also synod president of All Saints Lutheran Church of Nigeria. My wife Alice is a farmer, raising cassava and vegetables.
What is included as part of your daily tasks?
Synod administrative work. Mrs. Odey works in the yam and cassava fields.
What do you see as your greatest blessing in ministry?
The church is blessed with bore holes (good water) The church is blessed with the gospel of Jesus.
What are your greatest challenges in ministry?
The church faces the challenge of accommodations (buildings). Another challenge are finances to pay for workers and for evangelism.
What do you like best about being a pastor?
We like best to tell people that Christ died on the cross to save them from sin.
Pastor Joseph Jackson
Christ the King Lutheran Church of Nigeria Manta I and Manta II
How long have you been a pastor?
From 2004 to date in Christ the King Lutheran Church. But before that I was a missionary in the Mormon church from 1984 to 1993. That’s when I left that church and joined the present one.
What do you do?
My only work is to do the work of God, who called me to his service. That is preaching, teaching the Word of God, correcting and rebuking wrong doctrine. My wife has learned a trade but I have no money to finance her shop to carry it out.
What is included as part of your daily tasks?
My daily task is visiting the sick, arranging Bible classes for children and adults, and counseling people through the Word of God. In addition I usually arrange seminars for God’s people.
What do you see as your greatest blessing in ministry?
We are blessed with good health and the forgiveness of our sins.
What are your greatest challenges in ministry?
The challenges we face daily is that we are not equipped with Bible material to explain the details and background of the Bible.
What do you like best about being a pastor?
I love to be a pastor just because God loved me too and served me by sending his Son Jesus Christ to redeem me. That is why I love being a pastor, so as to help others through the Word of God.
