 Wisdom from Jack FMI was listening to “Jack FM” the other day and heard some profound words of wisdom as often happens when I listen to Jack. He said and I quote, “There is no I in team…but there is an Us in Pus.” Doesn’t Jack see clearly? There is a lot to be disgusted with when it comes to us. Sometimes what we do or the words that come out of our mouths or the thoughts that run through our minds are simply horrid. There are even days when us gives pus a bad name. But there is one thing I don’t think Jack realized. There is also Us in Jesus! Isn’t it incredible that God would take “pus people” like us and embrace us! In fact our Savior took us from the slime and made us part of himself—he did that on the cross. Jesus died for us in fact the Bible says we were crucified with him—that means not only did we die with him but we rise with him as well—in fact he’s never getting rid of us. From pus to JesUS and never going back…so take that Jack!
For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—because anyone who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. Romans 6:6-8
