Browser support
The CDS Coloring Book Applet can be used with any browser that supports Java 1.0. No advanced Java features are being used which means that browsers such as Netscape Navigator 2.0 (the first widely available Java-enabled browser) can still be used with this applet.

Working with Netscape 4.5
Any browser utilizing JDK 1.1 (as of this writing this includes Netscape 4.07, 4.08, and 4.5) may experience a situation where the coloring tool selection box does not render. This is due to differences in the newer JDK layout for the Coloring Book controls. If your Coloring Book looks fine in all other browsers, but the tool selection does not appear with the newer Netscape releases, make your graphic titles shorter or making the applet width wider. This will provide more room in the Coloring Book control area for the JDK to render the buttons as well as the selection boxes.
